Hosted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France, the programme is designed to help students strengthen their analytical, research, communication, and professional skills while contributing to meaningful policy initiatives.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, with the current application cycle remaining open until 31 December 2026. 

About the OECD Internship Programme

The OECD Internship Programme brings together talented students from different academic and cultural backgrounds to support the organization’s work across various policy areas and corporate functions.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside internationally recognized policy experts.
  • Gain practical experience in a multicultural workplace.
  • Develop research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Contribute to reports, publications, policy papers, and international projects.
  • Build a strong professional network within an international organization.

Internships may be conducted on-site, remotely, or through a hybrid arrangement, depending on the needs of the hiring team. 

Internship Details

Host Organization: Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

Programme Type: Paid Internship

Location: Paris, France (with some hybrid or remote opportunities)

Internship Duration:

  • 1 to 6 months
  • Renewable up to 12 months in total

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Some part-time arrangements may be available under exceptional circumstances.

  • Monthly living allowance of €1,000 for interns based in Paris.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants should:

  • Be enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programme at an accredited institution throughout the internship.
  • Be available for at least one month.
  • Study a discipline relevant to the work of the OECD.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English or French.
  • Have working knowledge of the second OECD official language (or be willing to learn it).
  • Possess strong analytical, research, communication, and IT skills.
  • Be able to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Although many internships are allocated to nationals of OECD member countries, qualified applicants from non-member countries may also be considered for specific programmes, projects, and affiliated agencies. 

Selection Process

The recruitment process generally includes:

  1. Online application submission.
  2. Initial eligibility screening.
  3. Shortlisting by relevant OECD departments.
  4. Interview and/or written assessment (where applicable).
  5. Internship offer for successful candidates.

Due to the large number of applications received, only shortlisted candidates are contacted.

The selection process can take up to three months, so candidates are encouraged to apply well before their preferred internship start date.

  • Academic and personal information requested in the application portal
